What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are essential for the site to work; others are used for analytics or advertising. This page lists everything SalesforceTrails stores in your browser, including localStorage items that are not technically cookies but serve a similar purpose.
Essential (always on)
sftrails_session— keeps you signed in after "Sign in with Google". HttpOnly, HTTPS only, expires after 30 days or when you sign out.sftrails_oauth_state— protects the sign-in flow against forgery. Lives for 10 minutes during sign-in only.- localStorage

sftrails:quiz:answers,itvprep:*,sftrails:apex:solved— your quiz answers and solved problems, so progress shows on this device without an account. - Google consent choice — stored by Google's consent message so you are not asked again.
Analytics (consent required in the EEA, UK and Switzerland)
Google Analytics 4 sets _ga and _ga_* cookies (up to 2 years) to distinguish visitors and sessions. See the Privacy policy for what is collected. You can also block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Advertising (consent required in the EEA, UK and Switzerland)
Google AdSense may set cookies such as IDE, __gads, __gpi and test_cookie to serve ads, measure them, limit how often you see the same ad and — with consent — personalise them. A full list is maintained by Google at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
Managing cookies

- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies means you cannot stay signed in.
